Designing the Right User Interface (UI)

User Interface design

if you are stuck in your artistic block and cannot produce an attractive and user Interface. Then you have come to the right place. I am not going to bore you with the technical ways of it. What I am going to do is take you through the process of identifying what your customer expects from your services.

Your User Interface plays a vital role in UX (User Experience). And both these two user centric terms help make your mobile application a success.

Just follow these 3 easy steps and see the change it brings in your work.

Step 1: Identifying Your Target Audience For Your User Interface

There must be a set of people you are targeting with your User Interface design for a new mobile app or a tablet. You need to keep that audience in mind and come up with an idea that best fits their need. For instance, you are designing for an app that supports businesses, and its key users would be business men. Then your color selection should be business scheme colors. Also you must avoid using vibrant and flashy text instead, keep your work sober and well organized. Here’s a counter example for it. If you are designing a User Interface for a music app, then your color selection would be entirely opposite, since the target audience for that app would be general people.

Step 2: Placing the Right Options at the Right Place

Another most important factor of your User Interface design is to put the correct options at the correct place. Let me take you by an example followed in the previous step. For your music player app you may observe, that the generic layout of options, is that you start from the artist section that displays all your songs by their artist’s name. But the possibility of recalling a song by its chorus is more than recalling it by its artist’s name. So to have a competitive edge in your user interface design you can launch the music player app with default arrangements of your songs by their names not by their artist’s.

Step 3: Learn from Your Own Experience

Best way a man can learn is from his own experience. Try imagining yourself using the app on which you are working and see what options you prefer. Use a pen and paper and draw out a layout of what you want. And then see what could make this better. Because obviously first attempt is always a fail, it takes a lot of alteration to have a final User Interface up and ready to work with a UX.

Make sure whatever you design, it is a flat design as now a day’s it is most preferred because of its sober look and flat colors. Your work doesn’t have to be colorful or too vibrant. Just remember the appeal towards your design depends on your target audience. If its business class than a black and white theme in your user interface would seem more appealing than anything vibrant.

If you are not interested in going through the hassle of designing a User Interface for your mobile app than you can easily have it made by professionals all around the web.
